This mini-lesson is a great way to introduce the concept of underpainting or just painting in general. I used this with Middle Schoolers who needed a break from their acrylic painting projects. Students looked at Georgia O'Keeffe's watercolour sketches and looked at images that inspired them. No pencil is allowed! Paint only! Embrace the fluidity of the watercolours!
