Monochromatic Collage Paintings

For this lesson, I introduced Kindergarten to the concept of a Monochromatic Palette. We talked about the meaning of the word, and other ways we can make our paintings interesting (shape, texture, etc.). I showed them some artist examples and other kindergarten examples I found online. On the first day they painted, and on the second day we added more shape and texture with paper. Suggestions were made for subject matter, but I encouraged them to also have fun with making/mixing different shades and tints!
